The Shady Expedition are a modern band in the classic style of the 60's rock band. It takes a tight rhythm section of drum and bass, 2 guitarists, an organ, then the vocals of all 5 members in harmony to make this recognisable sound.
They've been crafting their own sound over the past year, combining influences from all styles of music; psychedelic rock to blues, country to indie rock and folk influenced ballads, all with the unique new feel of The Shady Expedition.

Formed in 2011, the band members have all been involved in the sydney live music scene with other bands. After the formation of The Shady Expedition the first 6 months were spent rehearsing, recording, and improving on an already large catalogue of songs. Out of these early sessions, a live demo was released online and imediately attracted a large following for the band.

The highly anticipated first single from The Shady Expedtion, 'Maquiladora', is to be released early 2012, having already been heard live by many at shows around sydney.
